Fund-level limited partner investors are often reluctant to commit capital to new funds, particularly operator-managed funds focused on a specific real estate sector or geography. Owner/operators lacking pre-committed, discretionary capital therefore face challenges completing the capital stack and closing transactions.

Cormorant Capital was established to respond to such equity needs, while maintaining alignment of interests between partners.
