On a select basis, Cormorant provides up to $1,000,000 co-investment capital, with a preference for value-add and opportunistic transaction strategies. All parts of the capital stack, including general partner equity, preferred equity, mezzanine and pari-passu joint venture equity positions, are considered. All product types and geographies within the United States are investable.

Entity Level and Emerging Manager Investment

Another strategy Cormorant has successfully employed is investing in real estate-related operating companies. Examples include early stage investing, including with emerging managers. In such cases, we may also consider limited balance sheet support to enhance credit for such managers constrained by lack of sufficient liquidity to satisfy lenders.

Other examples include management buyouts and M&A-related activity (such as an operator acquiring a management company to achieve vertical or cross-regional integration).
